Bengkalis, June 19, 2026 – In an effort to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Bengkalis Regency conducted a Weekly Briefing on Friday (June 19, 2026) through an online Zoom Meeting. The activity was attended by all organic employees of BPS Bengkalis Regency, Regional Supervisors from BPS Riau Province, representatives of BPJS Employment Duri Region, as well as all Field Supervisors (PML) and Field Enumerators (PPL) involved in the implementation of SE2026.


The Weekly Briefing was conducted as a means of coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and dissemination of strategic information to support the quality of the 2026 Economic Census implementation in Bengkalis Regency. In addition, the activity aimed to identify various challenges faced by field officers and formulate the necessary mitigation measures.


In his opening remarks, the Head of BPS Bengkalis Regency expressed appreciation for the dedication of all officers who have carried out data collection activities in the field. On this occasion, he also provided motivation to all personnel to maintain their enthusiasm, integrity, and the quality of the data produced. It was emphasized that the success of the 2026 Economic Census highly depends on the commitment of all officers to perform their duties in accordance with the established operational standards.


Furthermore, a representative from BPJS Employment Duri Region provided an explanation regarding the utilization of employment social security programs and the benefits of employment protection for census officers. The presentation included information on work protection guarantees and the procedures to be followed in the event of risks encountered during field operations.


During the monitoring session, the Regional Supervisors from BPS Riau Province presented the results of their observations on census implementation across various areas. Several aspects highlighted included data collection achievements, the quality of document completion, and compliance with the methodology and guidelines of the 2026 Economic Census.


The activity continued with an evaluation and discussion session regarding various challenges encountered by PMLs and PPLs during data collection activities. Inputs from participants were gathered to formulate effective mitigation measures, enabling any obstacles that arise to be addressed promptly without disrupting the achievement of activity targets.


Through the implementation of this Weekly Briefing, it is expected that coordination among officers and stakeholders will continue to be strengthened, ensuring that the 2026 Economic Census in Bengkalis Regency is carried out smoothly, on schedule, and produces high-quality data to serve as a basis for more targeted development policy formulation.
