In May 2015, Statistic Indonesia (BPS) will carry out the enumeration field activities of the Inter-Census Population Survey 2015 (SUPAS2015). The main purpose of SUPAS2015 is to estimate population size and demographic indicators between the two time census. Statistic Indonesia (BPS) has four times to SUPAS, namely in 1976, 1985.1995, and 2005, and the fifth SUPAS SUPAS2015 is implemented BPS. So what's new SUPAS2015 SUPAS than before?
First, SUPAS2015 designed to be able to present the maternal mortality data more accurate, both at national level and up to the regional level (a combination of several provinces), so that the number of samples included in SUPAS2015 reach 652,000 households. Sampling method SUPAS2015 consider the welfare of household index derived from the data SP2010.
Second, to avoid any incident undercounted deaths (incidence of death was not recorded), SUPAS2015 apply two methods of collecting mortality data, ie direct method, which is recorded incidence of mortality that occurred in the household sample, as well as indirect methods, which record the incidence of death of brother female respondents.
Third, enumerating the population on SUPAS2015 activities carried out by de jure and de facto. The concept of de juredigunakan to record a person usually resides / reside (usual residence). The concept of de facto used to record the population in which encountered during enumeration (overnight stay). Noting guests staying aims to increase the number of samples related to the calculation of the indicators of fertility. The same is done to the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS).
Fourth, in addition to collecting demographic data the same as the previous SUPAS, which includes: summaries of the population, the elderly, births, deaths, maternal deaths, migration, employment, and fasilitasperumahan, SUPAS2015 also collected information on: international migration, climate change, and disabilities. The third new information is collected to meet the needs of data to design appropriate policies to programSustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Achievements and targets SDGs is an integration of the achievements and targets in the economic, social, and environmental, as well as linkages to recognize three aspects in achieving sustainable development in all dimensions.
