Ongoing effort to eradicate corruption in Indonesia from year to year more and more massive and systematic. Various efforts have been made by the government, either in the form of prevention and eradication. In order to accelerate the prevention and eradication of corruption, the government has issued a decree of President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 55 Year 2012 on the National Strategy for the Prevention and Eradication of Corruption (Nastra PPK) 2013-2014 medium-term and long-term in 2012-2025.
Vision and Strategy Mission PPK is lowered into six strategies, namely:
implement prevention efforts;
implement strategic measures in the field of law enforcement; carrying out measures to harmonize the preparation of legislation in the field of combating corruption and other related sectors; carry out international cooperation and rescue assets from corruption; increase efforts anti-corruption education and culture; and improve coordination within the framework of the reporting mechanisms of implementation efforts to combat corruption.
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) explicitly assigned by the President to measure indicators on five strategies that improve educational efforts and anti-corruption culture. The fifth strategy is considered important because one of the root causes of the development of corrupt practices allegedly harvested from low integrity of the perpetrators and still strong culture of permissiveness toward corruption. To support the strategy required the support of survey data that can give an idea of anti-corruption behavior. To meet these needs, BPS in cooperation with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) held Attitude Survey Against Corruption (SPAK).
This survey aims to measure ratings, knowledge, behaviors, and experiences of individual related anti-corruption behavior of individuals in Indonesia. The survey also measures the extent to which a culture of zero tolerance towards corruption internalized within each individual, especially related to the KDP STRANAS fifth strategy and culture of anti-corruption education. SPAK activity in 2014 was conducted in all regions of Indonesia are spread across 170 Regency / City and in 33 provinces. A total sample of 10,000 households.
For Bengkalis region, the total sample of 40 households that are at the census block in District Bengkalis and three census block the District of Mandau. SPAK 2014 BPS implementation in districts, data collection and processing is scheduled to be held on the first three weeks of October 2014. Until this news was revealed, data collection on the field has been completed and is currently in the process of data processing.
